Heavy is The Hand: Clay and Craft

This collection of ceramic sculpture aims to challenge the age old conversation of craft v. art. By taking a inherently utilitarian craft of crochet and creating a permanent sculpture in clay, I force viewers to challenge themselves with the idea of if utilitarian use ultimately makes or breaks an art objects purpose.
